This documentation is always evolving.
This article focuses on Mapcreator Next and its features. For this article about the previous version of Mapcreator, click here.
To get started, select the ‘’Data overlay’’ from the drop-down menu on the top left. Here, you can use the search field to search for specific data layers or you can scroll through all the overlays Mapcreator offers. You can use the small arrow next to sub categories to collapse and expand the lists.
Select the data layer you want to add by clicking on it and it will automatically appear on the map. Click on the added elements to the map to change the styling of this selected overlay. It could be that no styling pop-up appears, that simply means there is no additional styling available for this layer.
Sometimes elements on the data layer will be turned off by default. In ‘’Layers’’, you have full control to show or hide parts of this layer.
If you want to further customize a data layer or would like to have additional data layers created for your organization, contact Mapcreators’ support team for more information on these possibilities.
