3D Terrain
To create an extruded terrain effect, enable the ‘’3D Terrain’’ feature in the ‘’Project settings’’. You’ll see its effect straight away if you tilt your map. You can do so by right-clicking your mouse and panning the map, using 2 fingers on your laptop’s trackpad, or changing the tilt values in the bottom left bar.
By default, the slider is set to 100%, which represents the actual elevation, but you can increase it up to 300% to make the relief stand out more.
Sky and fog on the horizon appear when the map is tilted. Their colors can be adjusted or turned off in custom enterprise map styles.
We recommend combining 3D Terrain with the Satellite map style to make the terrain more pronounced.
Please note that this feature is currently only supported for raster and video exports.
