How can I change my password?

In the case that you forgot your password or would like to change it, you can reset it in a few simple steps.

The easiest way is to navigate to this link: https://api.mapcreator.io/password/reset, enter your email and reset your password. Further instructions will be sent to the email address you entered, attached to your account. 

If that link is, for whichever reason, not working for you. There are two other solutions for situations in which you are already signed in or not. 

 

You are already signed into your account

When you are already signed in but would like to reset or change your password, you can do this in three simple steps. 

 

Step 1: Sign out of your account
From the Mapcreator tool, navigate to your personal account by clicking on the profile icon in the upper right corner. From here a dropdown menu will appear including a ‘’sign out’’ button. By clicking this, you will exit our map editing tool and sign out.

 

Step 2: Forgot password
After signing out of your account, you will be directed to the sign-in form. Here you can find a hyperlinked text saying ‘’forgot password’’. You want to click there. 

 

Step 3: Reset password
Now you will be able to enter the email address connected to your account and click ‘RESET PASSWORD’, you will now receive an email allowing you to change and reset  your password. 

You are not signed into your account

 

Step 1: Open the Mapcreator website
From here, you want to click on the ‘’sign in’’ button in the top right corner. This will redirect you to the sign-in form.

 

Step 2: Forgot password
Below you can see our sign-in form. Here you can find a hyperlinked text saying ‘’forgot password’’. You want to click there.

 

Step 3: Reset password
Now you will be able to enter the email address connected to your account and click ‘RESET PASSWORD’, you will now receive an email allowing you to change and reset your password.
