There are multiple ways of highlighting certain areas on the map. One of them is drawing a custom polygon. See the instructions below to learn how to create your own polygon.
Once you have found the location where you would like to place a polygon, access the "Add", choose the "Line" tab and select the "polygon" option from the drop-down menu.
You can let the tool generate a line between locations you manually select on the map. See below:
To finish creating your line press "Enter" on your keyboard or click on "Finish". If you move your mouse over the previously created polygon, a dotted support line appears. By clicking and dragging the anchor points, you are able to manipulate the shape of your polygon.
Your shape can be further styled: you can edit the color, transparency and the color of the stroke:
